mini blog 1

in an attempt to communicate from my island i thought i would
start a mini blog, but it's not a blog at all just a sentence and a
photo, maybe every week or so. my first intention was to send this
out as a simple email, but i was pushed over the edge by a friend saying
that he would enjoy chatting with everybody on the list, and i thought that would be
a lovely way for friends to stay in touch.
it's been raining here in newcastle all day, but helen took me to italy last week. it was hot
and sunny and the hills around florence looked just like the california wine country.
venice is the most beautiful city i've seen so far in my long life. no cars. no planes! view from
our apartment in venice above....
love

Hey Phyllis,
I'm so jealous you got to go to Italy. Italy was a short lived thought this year for us; since we're only making dollars, we settled for Costa Rica. Glad you're living well.

How exciting!! What could possibly be better than a phyllisblog??

It is pink Saturday in San Francisco. It's a beautiful and clear night. My skin is slightly seared pink from walking around amongst the gays all day.

We saw SICKO tonight and of course I thought of you as Michael Moore introduced us to the world of civilized & socialized medicine in Europe.

Italy sure sounds lovely. I took a ride on the 33 Stanyan the other day just because I could. It smelled like pee.

Oh - Ed Jew lives in Burlingame and the Mayor might have used cocaine.

Now you are caught up.

It's thrilling that you've decided to blog. Can I make a request? Pictures of Manchester. I want to see where you're living. I hope I get to come visit before you return for good. Do you want to link sites?

Love,
Marcy

Hi Phyliss.
Yestaday was the dyke march and of course I thought of you. I hung out with my daughter and her friends. So many beautiful gathered all in one spot, what more could a girl want...except of course for you to be there too. My favorite t-shirt on the front "single " and on the back 'this ass is up for grabs' and the girl was hot! We ended up at the front of the march. Somehow we kept geting in front of the banner. Finally the banner was in front and then they went the wrong way. love you. Lynn

How are my two favorite porkrinds? Turns out I didn't click on your blog because (and forgive me here) because I really did think it would be a film of a poor shivering whippet which i just couldn't take. (the world isn't pretty you know) unless of course you live in Newcastle where the shines everyday...but mostly in your pants.
